Characteristic of Varimaxx front-mounted roller shutters is the five-sided shape of the box. It is fitted precisely into the reveal, so it is not mounted under the plaster. The box thus finishes flush with the outer wall, but remains visible. This in turn makes maintenance easy. The slats run pleasantly light and quiet in the side rails.

Varimaxx is extremely adaptable and versatile. As no structural changes are required, the installation costs are very low. It also gets by with a very small footprint. The closed aluminium box is available roll-formed or extruded, the latter version having a greater material thickness and therefore being more stable as well as more expensive.

How convenient the operation should be is left to you. We offer everything from the standard strap pull through a classic crank gear to motor or radio control. This way you can easily integrate the fitted roller shutters into a smart home system and open or close them comfortably while on the move.

Whether you retrofit front-mounted roller shutters or plan them directly for a new build – Varimaxx models suit a wide variety of windows and balcony doors. They come in three bevel variants (90°, 45° or 20°) to match the conditions of your house. This always results in a straight, clean appearance.

Depending on the chosen version the box is roll-formed or extruded. Thanks to the use of the highest-quality materials and production carried out entirely in Germany, we guarantee the best workmanship and durable quality. Even adverse weather influences and extreme temperatures cannot harm the front-mounted roller shutter.

Because of the simple facade mounting, the model can also be attached to a property at any time, even later on. A conventional roller shutter box, through which the room’s warmth could unintentionally escape to the outside, is therefore completely eliminated. The insulation of the walls is thus preserved and neither dust nor insects penetrate into the living spaces.

The box has a very small footprint. It is just large enough to wind up the aluminium slats of the roller shutter and store them safely. They are also best protected from dirt inside it. Beyond that, an additional burglary protection, for example, can be integrated. Maintenance of the roller shutter system is likewise carried out entirely from outside.

The semi-round aluminium box can be inserted directly into the reveal. Depending on how deep it is, the front-mounted roller shutter finishes round with your house facade. Alternatively there is also the option of mounting it above the window directly onto the masonry. This makes the box elements protrude slightly and gives the house different visual accents.

The diameter and length of the roller shutter boxes are determined by the respective window size as well as the selected slat thickness. Beyond that, manifold paint colours are available to you, if you do not wish to leave the sun protection in its metallic look anyway. The guide rails for the roller shutter as well as the shutter itself can also be adapted in colour, in order to produce a perfect overall picture of your home.

Alongside a rounded front cover, you can opt for an already installed 2-in-1 insect screen, which is operated completely independently of the roller shutter and keeps annoying visitors out of your living and sleeping rooms. To protect ground-floor patio doors against burglary, rigid shaft connectors make sense, which prevent the slats from simply being pushed up.

The Formado product range is usually driven by a quiet motor, which you operate via a built-in switch or also by radio control. In addition, this also allows you convenient integration into your smart home system. Besides that, a crank gear as well as a standard strap pull naturally also work for moving the slats.
